Reference
Darkness is a unique hand coloured lithograph with Niagara Falls as subject. This subject is Jeffrey’s most iconic, with galleries such as the National Gallery of Canada having a large painting by him in their collections. Another of his Niagara Falls paintings is in the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC.

Biographical Information
Jeffery John Spalding ~ [1951-2019] Canadian
Jeffrey studied at the University of Guelph, Ohio State University and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. His work is in major institutions such as the Vancouver Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Alberta, Art Gallery of Ontario and Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. He has exhibited widely across Canada and Internationally. Jeffrey passed away in 2019. He was the recipient of the Alberta College of Art and Design Board of Governors Award of Excellence [1992] and was awarded the Order of Canada [2007]
