PLEASE NOTE: This lot was sold in an online benefit auction where all proceeds went to the Whyte Museum in Banff, Alberta and there was no Buyer's Premium.; This painting is one of a group working with an idea of 'waterfall’; exploring the movement of the water, the solidity of the earth, the shifting of light. Barbara graduated from the University of Calgary, with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 1971 and like many landscape painters of her generation, started as an abstract painter. Her work can be found in numerous public and private collections including the Alberta Art Foundation, the Edmonton Art Gallery, the Glenbow Museum and the University of Calgary.
