Biographical Information
Claude Theberge ~ [1934-2008] Canadian
Quebec artist Theberge was a graduate of Quebec City’s École des Beaux-Arts studying with Jean-Paul Lemieux and Jean Dallaire and won bursaries from both the Canada Arts Council and the Quebec Government. He also studied in France and divided his time between Paris and Montreal.
He designed murals, stained glass windows and sculptures for a host of public buildings and his paintings are found in many collections around the world. In 1963 he founded Atelier Claude Théberge in Montreal bringing together artists from various disciplines interested in the integration of arts with architecture.
